The Adab of the Day of Eid
- A good intention. Make your joy a thanks to Allah for the blessing of completed worship.
- Bathing, perfume and new clothes. Eid is a day of adornment and delight.
- Zakat al-Fitr before the prayer. On Eid al-Fitr, a purification for the faster and food for the needy.
- The takbir and tahlil. Proclaiming the rites and joy of Eid.
- Greetings and handshakes. "May Allah accept from us and from you" is a word that plants affection.
- Keeping family ties and bringing joy. Eid is a season of connection and visiting.
- Returning by a different route. Following the guidance of the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Eid.
