Terms of service
Last updated: August 2026
Welcome to invi2. We value your trust in choosing us to manage your occasions, and we are committed to a safe, transparent experience. Please read these terms carefully: using the Platform, or creating any invitation through it, constitutes your explicit and unconditional acceptance of everything set out here.
Article 1: Definitions
Wherever they appear in these terms, the following words carry the meanings set beside them, unless the context requires otherwise:
- The Platform: the invi2 website, its applications, and all related services and tools for creating, designing, publishing and managing electronic invitations.
- The Host: the natural or legal person who creates an account on the Platform and who creates, publishes and manages an invitation.
- The Guest: anyone who opens an invitation link, confirms their attendance, or shares photos or any other content through it.
- The Service: the full set of functions and features the Platform makes available to Host and Guest alike.
Article 2: Description of the Service
The Platform lets you design an electronic invitation for your occasion (whether a wedding, a graduation, a personal or corporate event, or anything else), then publish it and receive:
- A public link you share with your Guests so they can view the invitation’s details and confirm their attendance.
- A private management link, for your use alone, through which you follow RSVPs and Guest photos and make any changes to the invitation’s content.
You may explore the design tools freely without creating an account; registration is required only when you wish to publish the invitation and complete payment. Guests never need to create an account or sign in under any circumstance.
Article 3: Creating an Account and Responsibility for It
Registration is completed with an email address and a password, and the Host bears full responsibility for:
- Keeping their login credentials confidential and not disclosing them to any party.
- All activity and operations carried out through their account, whether with their knowledge or without it.
- Providing accurate, correct and up-to-date information at registration, and updating it promptly whenever anything changes.
Article 4: Packages, Prices and Payment
- The available packages (whether a one-time purchase, a subscription with a set number of invitations and a validity window, or a custom composition) are shown clearly and in detail before any payment is completed.
- The price displayed at the moment the order is completed, inclusive of any active discount, is the final amount binding on both parties.
Article 5: Payment Security
All payments are processed exclusively through our authorised partner, Paddle, acting as the Merchant of Record. We confirm the following to you:
- The Platform never sees your bank-card details and does not store them on its servers in any form.
- The information asked of you at payment is limited to your name, email address and mobile number, used only to process the transaction and send the purchase receipt.
Article 6: Subscriptions and Balances
Subscriptions and custom packages grant you a balance of invitations valid until a stated expiry date shown in your dashboard. The following applies to how that balance is used:
- The balance closest to expiry is used first.
- There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge: every purchase stands on its own and is made with your explicit consent.
- Any balance left unused after its expiry date does not carry over, is not refunded and is not extended.
- All refund requests are subject to the terms set out on our Refund Policy page and to Paddle’s applicable policy.
Article 7: The Invitation Lifecycle
- Activation: the invitation link is activated as soon as payment is completed successfully.
- Automatic locking: the public link locks automatically about one hour after the event ends, or six hours after its start time if no end time was set. Once locked, Guests can no longer open the invitation or confirm attendance.
- The management link: remains available to you after locking, so you can view and review your occasion’s data.
- Editing: you may edit the invitation’s content from the management link at any time, even after publishing.
- Downloading: you can download a copy of your invitation as a PDF or an image from the management link once the event has started.
Article 8: The Host’s Responsibility for Content
The Host bears full and sole responsibility for all content placed in the invitation (including, without limitation, names, text, dates, addresses, logos, images and any audio they upload), and the Host acknowledges and undertakes that:
- The published content is lawful and does not conflict with the applicable regulations.
- The content does not infringe the intellectual-property, privacy or any other rights of any third party.
- They alone bear full responsibility for any audio they upload, and the Platform bears no responsibility for its content or lawfulness.
Article 9: Guest Interactions and the Privacy of Their Data
The RSVPs, photos and data that Guests provide are shown exclusively to the Host through the management link, and the Host undertakes to:
- Handle their Guests’ data in a way that respects their privacy and dignity.
- Not use this data for any purpose beyond the occasion in question.
- Not share Guests’ data with third parties without their consent.
Article 10: Acceptable-Use Policy
The user is prohibited from using the Platform for any of the following:
- Any activity that breaches the applicable laws or regulations.
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages, or using the Platform to harass or cause nuisance.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Platform’s systems, or to bypass its security mechanisms or usage limits.
- Reselling the Service or any part of it, or dealing in it commercially, without our prior written permission.
Article 11: Intellectual Property
- All of the Platform’s designs, templates, fonts, effects, tools and software components are the exclusive intellectual property of invi2, and may not be copied, reproduced or used outside the Platform without express written permission.
- The Host retains full ownership of the content they create, and grants the Platform a limited, non-exclusive licence to display that content only as far as is necessary to provide the Service (that is, showing the invitation to its intended Guests). This licence extends to no other use.
Article 12: Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties
We exercise reasonable care to keep the Service available and running; even so, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied.
The Platform is not responsible for:
- Errors arising from the Host entering their data incorrectly, noting that they can correct it themselves at any time through the management link.
- Faults in Guests’ devices or problems with their internet connection.
- Any interruption or fault arising from external service providers (the payment gateway, hosting services, sharing apps and so on).
In all cases, the Platform’s maximum liability to the Host, whatever the basis of the claim, shall not exceed the total amount the Host actually paid for the Service in question.
Article 13: Amending the Terms or Suspending the Service
- The Platform reserves the right to update these terms or amend the Service’s features at any time. Where material changes are made, a clear notice will be posted on the website, and your continued use of the Platform after the changes are published constitutes acceptance of them.
- The Platform may also, at its sole discretion, suspend or terminate any account shown to have breached these terms, without this giving rise to any obligation to compensate.
Article 14: Payment Processing (Merchant of Record)
All purchases on the Platform are processed through our partner Paddle.com, acting as the Merchant of Record. Paddle undertakes the following:
- Processing and securing payments.
- Issuing tax invoices.
- Calculating the taxes due and remitting them to the competent authorities.
- Handling customer enquiries relating to invoices, taxes and refund requests.
Payment, invoicing and refunds are subject to Paddle’s Checkout Buyer Terms, available at: paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms
Article 15: Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Should any dispute arise over the interpretation or performance of these terms, the parties shall seek to settle it amicably; failing that, it shall be referred to the competent Egyptian courts.
Article 16: Contact Us
